OK, so here it is at last! For my first ever giveaway, I've decided to put together a hodge-podge of items to reflect the various things I've dabbled in and my varied interests. I LOVE the new look ForeverAlways, and was instantly inspired by their green colour challenge this month. Go check out their Jan newsletter for loads more insiration! I thought the green would make the red of Christmas photos stand out (tip in their newsletter), so managed to scrap some recent Chrissie photos. :) I've used PP by KI, SFL and Kaiser, a HS calendar embelli glimmer misted in key lime, AC thickers, Prima blooms, BG buttons and my trusty Dymo. Loved how it all came together quickly :) As I've used a few buttons in this LO, also thought it fit in with this week's "button it" challenge over at ArtyGirlz.
52Sketches also has a new look, and I was very inspired by their current sketch! The photo is of my family. I've used Kraft c/s and scrap pieces of PP (SRPC, Christina Re, and BG). I then embellished with a glimmer misted flourish (gotta love that key lime), Prima flowers, Lil Davis chipboard embelli, Queen and Co felt hearts and bling. Also managed to use some skeleton leaves that I've had forever! I love the colours in this one :)
Well, the week started off quite nicely with this page, my take on this month's BlackMagic challenge, which is to use black with white/pink/turquoise, rub-ons and the monthly sketch. Well, I LOVE these colours together, so this LO came together really easily. The title is "Sweet? Sometimes". Photos were taken of a friend who'd had enough and said, "Stop it!" (ie stop taking photos), but got snapped saying that, hehe! I've used all sorts of PP (Prima, Glitz Designs, C. Re, MM, T. Collins and SRPC), together with BG rub-ons (those ink blotches), Heidi Swapp flowers, Kaiser brads, Carolee's and Heidi Grace alphas.
The next challenge I attempted was this month's colour challenge over at MysticalScrapbooks. Now this WAS a bit of a challenge for me as I prefer prettier colours usually than the stipulated black, red and yellow. Still, I persevered, thinking it was high time I scrapped the photos I took of my mascot bee soft toy when I was in Germany. I'm not thrilled with this page, but it will do. I've used old papers and scraps mainly for this page, so happy that I'm getting through my stash at least. Can't quite remember what line the papers are, and am not feeling motivated enough to check!
This is my take on this month's ASJ. Really loved the pink/red/blue/green colours and the clustering around the photo, so used that as my inspiration, but added a smaller photo as well to the right of the main one. I've used Prima PP, flourish stamps and flowers, bling, Kaiser brads, KI Memories bookplate, ribbon and a small cross charm, Me and My Big Ideas, CI and Bo Bunny stickers, MME "Buddies" for title, and a rub-on quote. Had so much fun with this - this is my favourite LO this week! :)
Here's another LO I had soooo much fun with! I did this for the current SisterhoodofScrap challenge (project incorporating a list), but it also fulfils the requirement for this month's use your stash challenge over at MysticalScrapbooks 
This last LO was done on Wednesday night at the recipe scrap over at ForeverAlways. This was such an easy to follow recipe - loved it! I've since added another small cluster of flowers at the bottom left hand corner of the page though - I'm such a clutterer! Too lazy to re-photograph though, haha! I've used some scrap paper with Teresa Collins, flowers, bling, buttons, Kaiser brads, AMM and Sandylion stickers, and those BG white paint rub-ons. Well, thanks for sticking with me - I've had such a fun week, and I hope you liked these layouts :)
I LOVED the first WhiteWith1 challenge for the year, as it allowed me to use my fairly new Prima build-a-swirl stamps! Started by using the stamps to create a border on my white c/s, placing my photos in the middle, then just adding blooms and Cuttlebugged snowflakes around as embellishments. I've also used Inkadinkadoo bird stamps, a BG rub-on, Kaiser brads, some bling, and a portion of a Creative Imaginations journalling page. I really love how this LO turned out all pretty and wintry, just like the day that I spent exploring the Neuchwanstein Castle area of Bavaria in Germany.
I was inspired by someone else to keep a journal this year, a record of my thoughts and experiences in 2009. I've never successfully kept a diary before...I'm just not verbose enough with my writing, and prefer point form or making lists. I thought that if I turned each entry into a mini-LO, I might be more likely to keep at it. Also, I've decided to allow myself simply to write at least once a week. If I write more, great...if not, then once a week is fine. The above page was inspired by the current challenge at the RainbowLady's challenge blog, ie a new idea or using new stamps. Well, I thought the journal itself would be my new idea. In addition, I've used rub-ons over my photos, which I actually haven't done before. I also used the word "new" in my title. I've journalled about some new experiences I'd like to have this year, the first being to journal about my year! I've used Christina Re PP, a 7G tag, BG rub-ons, some German scraps and Heidi Grace alphas.
This page was actually my first entry for the year but I uploaded my pages the wrong way around, oops! Too lazy to change it, but thought it didn't really matter anyway. This page was inspired by OLW - the first word of the year is "start"! So I STARTed my journal, called it "The START of 2009" (original I know!), and journalled about my resolutions for this year. I've used Creative Imaginations journalling page, Kelly Pannacci and Sandylion stickers, German scrap, Lil Davis alphas, some buttons and bling, and a KI Memories plastic embelli. Liked how this turned out...hope it forebodes good things for my journal for this year!
This canvas was made at a class taught by the talented MaxineHazebroek at the awesome scrap store, Scraptivate. I don't remember what range the PP is, but I do know the butterflies are Collections and the frame in the middle is Melissa Frances. There was a lot of cuttlebugging, stamping and inking too. I really love how it turned out. I've placed a family photo on the photo mat, and presented it to mum for Christmas. She loved it :)
